Theme Overview
In God’s Economy is a six-week stewardship resource for use in worship and study/discipleship. Your congregation will journey through the Exodus story with an invitation to move from isolation to connection, from scarcity to abundance, and from extraction to shared calling. Exodus names two competing economies: the economy of Egypt, built on fear and domination, and the economy of God, where gifts are uncovered, burdens are shared, and grace is not scarce.
Through the courage of women who refuse to cooperate with the old way, Moses’ complicated calling and identity, God’s daily provision in the wilderness, and the wisdom of shared leadership, this series reframes stewardship as participation in God’s liberating work. It is not about doing more, giving more, or proving our worth, but about noticing what God has already placed among us: hidden talents, abundant resources, and beautiful community. Rooted in worship, scripture, spiritual practice, and community connection, this 6 week series invites us to ask not “What do we lack?” but “What has God already given - and how are we called to share it together?”
